Questions

Why do SIF terms change after launch?

A fund house can change features such as the exit load, the days it accepts redemptions, minimum amounts or the fund managers by issuing a notice-cum-addendum to the offer documents. Changes to fundamental attributes need unitholders to be notified in advance and given an exit window without load.

Does a new exit load apply to units I already hold?

Usually not. Most notices in this log say the revised load applies only to investments made on or after the effective date, so the date you invested decides which load applies. Each entry quotes what its notice says.

Where do these entries come from?

Only from the fund house’s own notice, read in full and linked on every entry. News reports and other trackers are not used as sources. Where an offer document and a later notice disagree, the notice is the newer word.

How often is this log updated?

Every week we read each fund house’s SIF notices page and add new entries. The same changes appear on each affected fund’s page, and in the RSS feed at sif-changes.xml.

What is not logged: routine revisions of the expense ratio (each fund page shows the current base and total expense ratio from AMFI), changes made across the whole industry by new SEBI rules (such as the 2026 expense limits and counting REITs as equity), portfolio disclosures, holidays, record dates, results, service and contact changes, and staff appointments that name no strategy.

Sources: every entry summarises the fund house’s own notice-cum-addendum and links it. Summaries are ours and shortened; the notice and the offer documents govern. This log records what changed, not what a change means for any investor’s returns. Information only, not a recommendation. Trustner Asset Services Pvt.
