Source: Bandhan 'Arudha Hybrid Long-Short Fund - Portfolio Statement as on 31 July, 2026' (sheet 'Portfolio ASIF01'). The '% to Net Assets' column is stored as a FRACTION in the file (e.g. 0.0108); every pct here has been multiplied by 100 to give percent - no other arithmetic. The main portfolio table has NO Long/Short column, so side is DERIVED from the sign of Quantity and of % to Net Assets (negative = SHORT, positive = LONG). That derivation is corroborated by the AMC's own derivative annexure, which labels all 55 stock-futures underlyings 'Short', and by the swaps table which states 'Long Position represents the fixed leg of IRS contract' and 'Short position represents the floating leg'. Disclosed exposure statements: 'Total %age of existing assets hedged through futures: -38.41256699999999'; 'Total outstanding exposure in derivative instruments at the end of the period: Rs. 4484.99 Lakhs'; non-hedging futures positions Nil; option positions Nil; average maturity 4.23 years. Futures lines carry no ISIN and no industry column in the source, hence null. GRAND TOTAL market value Rs 11,675.8469057 lakhs.

Normalised from the AMC's published portfolio statement. Derivative market value, notional exposure and regulatory gross exposure can be measured on different bases, so the AMC's own statement remains controlling. Holdings are historical and change without notice — this is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

How the fund actually invests

Arudha Hybrid Long-Short Fund is an interval strategy that holds 35-65% of total assets in debt and money-market instruments and 35-65% in equity, hedging most of its equity book with futures while retaining the ability to run up to 25% of net assets in unhedged short derivative positions.

It is an interval strategy, not a daily-liquidity fund. The KIM describes it as "An Interval investment strategy investing predominantly in equity and debt securities, including limited short exposure in equity and debt through derivatives." Subscription is available daily on business days, but redemption is offered only twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, and the KIM states the redemption frequency may be reduced in future as decided by the AMC.

Both sleeves flex between 35% and 65%. The KIM asset-allocation table sets Debt & Money Market instruments at a minimum of 35% and a maximum of 65% of total assets, Equities & equity related instruments also at 35% to 65%, and units issued by InvITs at 0% to 20%.

Shorting is capped in three separate places. Maximum short exposure through unhedged derivative positions in equity and debt instruments is 25% of net assets. Unhedged long exposure is capped at 50% of net assets, and securities lending / short selling is limited to 20% of net assets with maximum single-party exposure restricted to 5%. Cumulative gross exposure across equity, debt, derivatives, repo and InvITs must not exceed 100% of net assets, and the strategy will not invest in unrated debt instruments or commodity derivatives.

In practice the equity book has been run close to fully hedged. The Arudha SIF factsheet as on 30 June 2026 shows equity holdings of 36.57% of NAV offset by equity futures of -36.77%, with corporate bonds at 38.16%, certificates of deposit at 20.14% and net cash of 5.13%. The debt allocation was 92.83% AAA-equivalent and 7.17% AA, with yield to maturity of 7.02% and modified duration of 2.71 years.

The AMFI risk band has fallen since launch. The NFO KIM assigned the strategy Risk Band Level 2 against a benchmark risk band of Level 3. The factsheet as on 30 June 2026 shows the strategy at Risk-Level 1, with the CRISIL Hybrid 85+15 Conservative Index still at Risk-Level 3. Month-end AUM was Rs 109.40 crore, with a base expense ratio of 0.63% (Regular) and 0.25% (Direct).

Documents & source files

Everything on this page traces back to a document Bandhan published. Here they are, so you can read the primary source yourself rather than take our word for it.

When new documents appear. AMCs publish the previous month's factsheet and portfolio disclosure in the first week or so of each month — so from around the 8th you can generally expect the prior month-end file. Our desk re-checks every AMC on that cycle and updates the holdings and figures on this page. Links point to the AMC's own site, so you always land on their current file, not a stale copy of ours.

Every Hybrid Long-Short SIF we track

All Hybrid Long-Short funds we track, with their latest NAV, trailing returns, size and risk level. This fund is highlighted. Click a column heading to sort the table; the # column then shows each fund's position on that column. It is arithmetic on the period you chose, not a rating or a recommendation. Most SIFs are young, so check each fund's age before comparing. Open any fund's page from its name, or use the compare tool for a side-by-side view.

#NAV
Loading live data…

“—” means the fund is too young for that period or the figure isn't disclosed yet. Default order: 3-month return. NAV and returns follow the plan selected above (Growth option); AUM and risk level from Value Research.

What a Hybrid Long-Short SIF actually does

Invests across equity and debt within SEBI-defined bands, using derivatives both to hedge and to take short positions. Unhedged short exposure is capped at 25% of net assets. The most common SIF flavour, usually positioned as a balanced-advantage alternative.

Every Specialized Investment Fund sits between mutual funds and PMS: a ₹10 lakh minimum (aggregated per PAN per AMC), SEBI's Chapter VI-C framework, and mutual-fund-grade taxation — equity-oriented strategies attract 12.5% LTCG after 12 months. Learn the mechanics on our What is a SIF page, or read the August 2026 Coverage Report.

On sourcing. The scheme facts on this page are taken from the AMC's own Scheme Information Document, Investment Strategy Information Document and Key Information Memorandum, with the source linked above. The live NAV comes from AMFI; AUM and risk level from Value Research; the expense ratio from AMFI. Where a detail is not disclosed by the AMC we say so rather than estimate it — we never guess a number.
