Risk and disclosure · a SIF concept, explained from SEBI’s rules.
In one line
The offer document of a SIF strategy, the SIF counterpart of a mutual fund's scheme information document. It is read with the KIM and the SAI.
All offer documents (ISID, SAI and KIM) must be public and on the SIF's and AMFI's websites (circular para 13.3). They must state the redemption and subscription frequency, any notice period, how often the portfolio is disclosed, the scenario analysis for derivatives, the derivatives limits and the liquidity tools (para 11). The SAI may be common to the SIF and the fund house's mutual funds (FAQ B49). SEBI asks investors to read the ISID, KIM and SAI before investing (A5).
